Acension Seton – Texas Administration Offices
Seton Healthcare, a faith-based, non-profit healthcare system and part of the national Ascension network, engaged us to consolidate over 50 administrative and executive offices in a new facility that embodies efficiency and sustainability. The result is a 4-story, 156,000-square-foot building with a 670-car parking garage, designed to integrate seamlessly into the community and the environment.
To create a unified and inviting experience, a linear lobby spans the building, guiding visitors from end to end. Shared amenities like centralized break rooms, copy rooms, and public corridor conference rooms provide convenience and flexibility. The facility also includes specialized spaces: an Employee Health Clinic, a Bistro, conference rooms, boardrooms, and an AV-equipped auditorium.
With sustainability and Green Urbanism at the forefront, the site design strategically includes a residential buffer along the perimeter to minimize the visual impact on the nearby Dellwood II neighborhood, while aligning with community compatibility requirements. Adjacent to the Northwest Greenway, the building’s glass concourse and rooftop landscaping offer direct connections to nature, enhancing employee wellness with views of preserved green spaces, trails, and healing gardens. Durable materials such as brick and high-performance glass support energy efficiency, and thoughtful orientation minimizes solar heat gain and maximizes daylighting and views to Dell Children’s Medical Center nearby.
