Mueller Southeast Greenway Skate Park Restroom & Canopies
Situated in Mueller’s Southeast Greenway, the design of the shade canopies and restroom builds off the dynamic movement of the new skatepark and cycle pump track.
The Architect sought inspiration from their Mexican roots using inspiration from various origins, including an image of a street market in Mexico City, shadowed with tarps of different colors, and a Petate, a rug, basket woven together by palm fibers. The vibrant canopies use solids and voids as well as shadow play to create a pleasing experience for users where they can cool off and watch the action.
