Studio8 was part of a consortium of planners led by McCann Adams that developed a master plan of the downtown area of Austin and adjacent areas. The master planning was multi-phase and was a large effort of information gathering, as well as engagement with a large stakeholder constituency that includes city leaders, business leaders, neighborhoods and city staff planners.
The first phase of the DAP was primarily focused on the integration of transit connectivity to the surrounding region of Austin. The second phase addresses the creation of districts within the downtown area, vertical massing, affordable housing, accessibility and green space as well as the culture of Austin’s citizens.
