Studio8 Sustainability is a collaborative of designers and sustainability specialists with an architectural perspective that integrates project specific strategies to deliver clients’ design objectives and sustainability goals. Our core team draws on their collective sustainability skill and expertise of the team to inform our clients’ decisions and build trusted relationships that result in innovative and healthier solutions.
As a team, we have developed a powerful toolkit that integrates sustainable strategies into the design process. We routinely advise development teams on the best approaches to green building certification targets in relation to their project’s location, local trends, and realities, as well as project schedule and budget goals. Using analysis tools such as Revit, SketchUp, Sefaira, eQUEST, PVWatts, Energy Star, and IESVE throughout the design process produces important data that drives sound decisions and predictable outcomes. We focus on an integrated holistic approach to sustainability by studying interactions between systems and life-cycle based decision making. Our experience with non-standard approaches to resource conservation and health design, such as gray-and-blackwater recycling systems, building-integrated renewables, and wellness-driven features can further contribute to the holistic discussion.
