Studio8 revived the tiny 1905 First National Bank building in the heart of Holland, Texas (pop. 1,221) for a branch of Horizon Bank. The restoration took the building back to its original interiors, with updates to lighting and mechanical equipment.

In addition to renovating the interiors and providing furniture services, Studio8 also provided architectural modifications including restoring the original glass windows and designing the drive through canopy addition.

Original bank fixtures including the bars at the teller stations were retained and the original black and white penny tile flooring was replaced with an updated version, organized in the same pattern.

Marble removed from the existing interiors was re-used to update the lobby as part of the restoration.

The process of restoring the vault doors revealed an intricate lace pattern that had been covered with silver spray paint. The paint was removed and the original engravings were rehabilitated.

A drive-through window and canopy were added, matching the historic materials.
