Riata Vista U.S. Operations Center
The Riata Vista U.S. Operations Center is a meticulously crafted, multi-phased campus headquarters for a leading global tech innovator in Austin, Texas. With six four-story office buildings, a central café and conference center, and three structured parking garages, the design prioritizes employee well-being and productivity. Daylight-filled interiors, a muted color palette, and flexible spaces create an environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and Austin’s distinctive outdoor culture.
With clean lines, modern detailing, and strategic use of light and volume, the design reflects the client’s brand of simplicity and quality.
The project incorporates sustainable strategies such as on-site rainwater and condensation collection for 100% non-potable landscape irrigation, solar panels, indoor water-use reductions, and comprehensive energy-saving measures, culminating in a LEED NC Gold Certification.
There is also a state-of-the-art Fitness Center featuring aerobic and weight training equipment and two studios for group classes with integrated on-demand digital training capabilities utilizing a touchscreen interface and drop-down screens.
Another popular employee amenity area is found in the two-story café within Building 5. Considered the “central jewel” for the entire campus, the café serves a multitude of cuisines and acts as a common gathering area with generous indoor and outdoor seating.
The Wellness Center offers a range of health services, including general exam rooms, physical therapy, vision exams with a glasses dispensary, a dental center, and a pharmacy. Its design provides a unique experience through soothing colors, water sounds, music, and visually engaging imagery.
A double-height assembly space designed for special events, featuring a stage with projection screen, green room, and high-performance acoustics. A professional lighting rig and wood plank ceiling create a striking contrast with the sleek white and gray plaster walls.
The project’s pre-fabricated central utility plant provided one of several solutions to energy efficiency. The plant utilizes air-cooled mechanical chillers to create ice/glycol during off-peak and nighttime hours, which is used to cool the buildings during the day.
