The ASYMCA partnered with the city of Harker Heights in order to create their largest recreation center in the Ft. Hood area.
The partnership with the Parks Department was key, as the site was chosen to integrate with a large public park. This allowed for sharing amenities such as parking in order to dedicate more land to the public benefit.
Several other partnerships, with local groups such as Seton hospital and Killeen ISD, contributed to the ability to add or increase program spaces. The pool got bigger and some level of rehabilitative physical and occupational care will be provided at the facility.
