Zachry Corporate Offices
Zachry Construction Corporation, a 90-year old company with deep roots in San Antonio’s construction and development landscape needed assistance with the interiors of their new office space at Walker Ranch Business Park.
Building upon our programming findings, Studio8 worked with Zachry to develop a design program and spatial organization that supported all three of Zachry’s divisions including Zachry Construction, Zachry Hospitality, and Capitol Aggregates. The office also houses the Corporate support groups for all three divisions.
The driving concept behind the design was to create a welcoming office environment that was relatable to their people.
As private offices line the perimeter of the interior, lower office walls were implemented in the Northern end of the building to ensure natural light was able to penetrate as much of the office as possible, emphasizing Zachry’s efforts to create a comfortable environment for their employees.
Designers transformed glass blocks, a legacy material from their previous office, into a striking accent wall, giving them a new purpose.
In an effort to utilize more space in the building, interior designers strategically reconfigured the Mezzanine level so it could be transformed into a full second floor.
