Milton Hime, FAIA, IIDA
Founding Principal
He is an expert at integrating community with environment. His Black Warrior pencil is located at the Austin office.
Milton is the founding Principal of Studio8’s Austin and San Antonio offices, bringing with him over 38 years of community-driven experience to the Central Texas and San Antonio Regions. He has spearheaded the design and direction of various projects, ranging from corporate campuses to healthcare facilities, demonstrating his versatile expertise. Milton’s involvement in every aspect of the firm, coupled with his uncanny attention to detail, has not only earned him community recognition but also fostered robust client relationships throughout the Austin and San Antonio areas.
As a true philanthropist, Milton has positioned Studio8 as an essential community partner that uses architecture as a platform to realize meaningful change in people’s lives. From Central Texas Food Bank to Mobile Loaves and Fishes, to ACC’s historic Rio Grande Campus with Army Futures, his efforts have helped address a wide range of economic hurdles, including food insecurity, homelessness, health care inequities, education, unemployment, child development, and social justice.
Milton actively participates in professional affiliations including the Texas Society of Architects, Urban Land Institute, American Institute of Architects and also serves on various boards and board committees for People’s Community Clinic, Manos de Cristo, Explore Austin, and Museum of Human Achievement (MoHA). Milton’s notable projects include the People’s Community Clinic, Central Texas Food Bank, and YMCA of Austin reflecting his commitment to excellence and community.

Lisa Cuddy, AIA, RID
Principal, CEO
She is an expert at linking desires with environments. Her black Apica Notebook is located at the Austin office.
Lisa is the co-founding Principal and Chief Executive Officer at Studio8. For the last 21 years, Lisa’s multi-faceted talents have been an asset to the firm, She practices both architecture and interior design, manages complex projects of various scales, implements effective and strategic business and financial operations, and establishes policies that promote company culture, vision and growth. Lisa’s clear communication style, ability to organize and delegate, quick problem-solving skills, and systematic approach to design have led to the success of many projects and on-going relationships with clients who have a strong connection to the Austin business market.
In addition to her duties as CEO, Lisa also continues to be an active Architect and Interior Designer, managing multiple builds and interior finish-outs for MetCenter, Austin’s largest master planned business In addition to her duties as CEO, Lisa continues to be an active Architect and Interior Designer, managing multiple builds and interior finish-outs for MetCenter, Austin’s largest master planned business park. Lisa believes in the mission of her clients and attends fundraising events, makes annual contributions and actively volunteers. She is the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Generation Serve, an Austin non-profit promoting family volunteerism through youth hands-on service with caregivers. Additionally, she serves as Assistant Treasurer for Hills of Austin’s National Charity League, a mother-daughter organization empowering girls over a five-year period (grades 7-12) to become confident, well-rounded societal contributors and positively impact their communities.

Paul Detke, AIA, NCARB
Principal, Director of Science and Technology
He is an expert at linking joy with detail. His coffee mug is located at the Austin office.
Paul is a Principal and the Director of Science and Technology at Studio8. Paul is renowned as a walking encyclopedia of architectural knowledge, earning a reputation as the go-to Principal for advice and answers both within and outside the office. His deep expertise in building codes and regulations, laboratory planning, building systems integration, and equipment programming, combined with his keen interest and curiosity in research and development, has positioned him as a leader in spearheading Science and Technology projects throughout Central Texas.
Paul continues to manage several industrial and manufacturing projects, excelling in Tilt-Wall construction and developing a strong understanding of how to accelerate project schedules and navigate planning processes to meet the client’s needs. He has collaborated with some of Texas’s most innovative operations, including HID, Luminex, Natera and many undisclosed technology companies.
Paul is everybody’s friend, resulting in long-lasting relationships across the industry and earning him widespread respect. As a natural mentor, Paul is active in Explore Austin, a leadership-based outdoor adventure program that incorporates social-emotional learning and long-term mentoring to empower youth from economically disadvantaged communities.

Robert Byrnes, AIA, NCARB
Principal, Director of Architecture
He is an expert at forming concepts into reality. His butter paper is located at the Austin office.
Robert is a Principal and the Director of Architecture at Studio8 with a distinguished career that spans more than 38 years. His expertise spans a diverse spectrum of projects including higher education facilities, large-scale office developments, civic initiatives, industrial complexes, and historic renovations.
Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and grasp of the construction process, Robert has steered numerous architectural endeavors from conception to fruition. His leadership acumen, coupled with his talent for nurturing collaborative alliances, has garnered him widespread acclaim as a dependable and esteemed ally among clients, stakeholders, and team members alike.
In his role as the Director of Architecture, Robert has been instrumental in shaping the future of the profession, serving as a beacon of inspiration and guidance for aspiring architects. His calming demeanor and commitment to mentorship contribute to his success cultivating the next generation of architectural trailblazers.

Megan Moshier, IIDA
Principal, Director of San Antonio
She is an expert at uniting people with interiors. Her drafting dots are located at the San Antonio office.
Megan is a Principal and the Director of Studio8’s San Antonio office. She is a seasoned interior designer, who embodies passion and mastery in her craft. Known for her multitasking prowess, she tackles challenges with loyalty and dedication, never shying away from hard work and always advocating for her clients. Megan’s keen design sensibility, coupled with her adeptness in construction means she can often be found sketching details on-site working through a design challenge.
Megan has extensive experience with public and private clients, designing a variety of project types from corporate offices to hospitality to academic facilities. Her instrumental efforts have been instrumental in fueling Studio8’s expansion in San Antonio and nurturing vital connections with local developers, contractors, and industry peers.
A champion for San Antonio’s unbounded potential, she is active in several organizations, notably in ULI, where she was chair of the mentor program for five years, chair of ULI NEXT for three years, and active in ULI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI), which support local programming and initiatives, helping to increase both the number and visibility of more women leaders throughout ULI’s vast network.

Deanna Bounds
Principal, Director of Marketing and Business Development

Deanna is a Principal and the Director of Marketing and Business Development at Studio8. As one of the firm’s most outward-facing members, she is often the first to break the ice and the last to leave a networking event. She is tireless in her pursuit to reinforce Studio8’s brand image and value in leading and growing markets. Deanna’s genuine approach to business initiatives and development has led to long lasting friendships with clients and the community, which she diligently continues to foster.
In her role as the Director of Marketing and Business Development, Deanna plays a vital role in developing strategic marketing plans that propel growth, secure projects and fortify Studio8’s reputation in the industry. From identifying and cultivating new partnerships for project ventures to managing public relations and project photography, to conducting comprehensive market research, Deanna consistently looks ahead, steering Studio8 towards broader horizons.
As a former president of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), Deanna remains dedicated to mentoring her peers and emerging marketing professionals, readily offering her expertise and assistance in organizing fundraising events. Additionally, she plays an active role in ULI Austin, contributing to both the Creative Culture Strategic Council and the Small Scale Development Council. Through these engagements, Deanna collaborates with fellow members to exchange insights on best practices and address challenges inherent to small-scale developments, all while safeguarding Austin’s distinct culture and developmental integrity.

Ethan is a Principal and Sr. Architect at Studio8. For the last 38 years, Ethan has done a little bit of everything. Ethan is a global thinker who carefully considers the implications of every decision. Passionate about the design process, he takes a holistic approach, resulting in diverse and intelligent solutions. Ethan excels at solving design challenges of any scale, rigorously evaluating multiple options to ensure the best outcome for his clients and team.
From community centers to company headquarters to parking garages, Ethan’s breath of knowledge is unmatched. One of Ethan’s favorite projects is the University of Texas Elementary school because of the spirit that drove the team, client, consultants, builder and architect – to create a dynamic and nurturing learning environment for young kids in the first permanent home for the school.

Lee Ann McClanahan is a Principal and the Director of Furniture at Studio8. Lee Ann contributes over 25 years of design expertise specializing in the curation and selection of furniture that harmonizes with a space’s interior architecture. Collaborating seamlessly with the Interiors team, Lee Ann assesses existing space dynamics, devising and presenting furniture solutions that not only meet but surpass client expectations while remaining within budget constraints.
In her role, Lee Ann meticulously compiles data on style, finishes, functionality, warranties, and certifications, while coordinating furniture layouts with mechanical, electrical, and audio/visual schematics. Throughout the Construction Administration phase, she oversees delivery schedules and on-site installations with a calm demeanor. She has a deep understanding of various furniture manufacturer types and functionalities.
Lee Ann has contributed her expertise to notable projects, including ChildSafe, Alterman Corporate Campus, Riata Vista U.S. Operations Center, and Horizon Bank, which she has served for over 15 years. Lee Ann also has an impressive portfolio with higher education systems including Trinity University, University of Texas, Texas State University, and more. Her consistent commitment to top-notch design and keen understanding of how people interact with spaces make her an essential part of the team.

Amy is an integral part of the architectural process, proficient in everything from schematic design to construction administration. As a team leader and studio director, she excels in organizing internal tasks like project scheduling, and offering mentorship to her peers. Amy is passionate about delivering projects that fulfill both the client’s and design team’s vision, creating joyful experiences for all who use the spaces. Her expertise in coordination and developing detailed work plans ensures high-quality outcomes. Dedicated to client satisfaction, she collaborates closely with clients throughout every stage of the process.
Her project experience includes large corporate campuses, hospitality, mixed-use retail, park amenities, master planning, and community-oriented projects such as YMCA facilities and Mobile Loaves & Fishes Community First! Village community centers. Amy actively participates in ULI NEXT’s Austin chapter, collaborating with industry peers to shape the future of the built environment for community impact.

Anna Delisle
Director of Brand & Communications
She is an expert at maintaining graphics with precision
With a passion for graphic design and branding, Anna brings her creative eye to Studio8 by crafting compelling proposals for project pursuits, overseeing quality control for the firm’s graphic standards, and developing unique marketing campaigns. Often found with a roll of trace on her desk, she enjoys storyboarding her ideas into tangible concepts.
In addition to her marketing efforts, Anna has spearheaded the renewal of the JUST label through the International Living Future Institute. This initiative helps identify organizational blind spots and opportunities for operational changes, focusing on improving gender and ethnic diversity, pay scale equity, healthcare benefits, family leave, and more. Passionate about helping others, Anna frequently volunteers her time at student career fairs offering constructive critiques and resources to support the next generation of designers.

Anya, a designer pursuing NCIDQ registration, developed a passion for architecture through her upbringing in Russia and travels across Europe, which sparked her interest in how cultural contexts influence design. While earning her Master’s in Environmental Design at Texas Tech University and interning at MWM Architects, she honed her skills in solving diverse design challenges and crafting innovative, functional spaces. With experience across corporate, science and technology, education, civic, and healthcare sectors, Anya excels at understanding client needs and creating impactful spatial solutions. As the Membership Co-Chair for the Austin IIDA Council and an active ASID member, she is dedicated to advocating for her profession and fostering connections within the design community.

Aubrey has experience in a variety of project scopes including corporate, retail, healthcare, religious facilities, furniture, and life science projects. Aubrey creates designs that are both functional and innovative while maintaining close attention to detail. Passionate about selecting finishes and creating realistic 3D renderings, she helps clients envision their future spaces. With a minor in Architectural Lighting Design, Aubrey thoughtfully considers daily functionality to enhance the user experience when working through ceiling designs. Embracing new challenges with a positive attitude, Aubrey stays current with industry trends to deliver creative design solutions.

Always ready to lend a helping hand, Billy consistently exceeds the expectations of both Studio8 staff and guests, setting a high bar for people-first service. As the Administrative Concierge, Billy is integral to the daily operations, ensuring Studio8 has everything needed for successful operations and staff support. From managing and ordering supplies to setting up technology for meetings to updating the central intranet with resources, Billy handles it all with unmatched enthusiasm.

Brian’s interest in architecture was ignited while helping his dad build his childhood home in upstate New York. What he enjoyed most was experiencing the drawings come to life. Brian’s meticulous attention to detail and dedication to design have led him to work on a variety of projects, from commercial office complexes like Bouldin Creek Commons to impactful local non-profit clients such as the Central Texas Food Bank and YMCA Camp Moody. Quiet yet focused, Brian thrives on the technical aspects of transforming a concept into intricate details. His commitment to overseeing projects from start to finish showcases his passion for creating well-balanced environments.

Carlos N. Moreno, AIA, NCARB
Director of Health Science, Architect
He is an expert at enriching community through placemaking. His Parallel Bar is located at the San Antonio office.
Carlos is the Director of Health Science at Studio8, overseeing the development of healthcare programming, planning, and design. Carlos enjoys witnessing the evolving connections between user and place. He is dedicated to the continued exploration of trends and services in the healthcare industry for patient-guests, practitioners, and caregivers. Carlos recognizes the delivery of healthcare is not a linear process; rather, it must be flexible enough to change, often quickly, to meet unexpected needs. His work includes the planning and design of facilities and spaces that include all aspects of services and modalities in acute in-patient and outpatient settings.
Integrally involved in serving the community, Carlos holds board positions with the Health Industry Advisory Council, the National Board of the Institute for Leadership in Capital Projects (I-LinCP), the board for Family Service Association, as well as the board for the Texas Center for Infectious Disease.

Daniel enjoys the design process, taking a project piece by piece, collaborating with team members, and discovering design solutions from initial sketches to final construction. He is detail-oriented and creative, excelling in high-tech office and high-rise residential buildings. Each project is a unique adventure with challenges and rewards, making design and architecture continually exciting and fulfilling to him. Outside of work, Daniel is part of the 2024 AIA Leadership Collective program and AIA Austin, and he participates in the Austin Film Festival and Maker Faire Austin.

Daniela excels at meeting accelerated billing deadlines and streamlining procedures. Her strong time management skills inspire the team to follow suit. Daniela is focused, efficient, and possesses an excellent memory, which is vital for managing over 100 projects. She’s enjoyed seeing projects from start to finish through the lens of billing, including Alterman’s corporate headquarters in Live Oak, Texas.

Her notable projects include prominent renovations such as Make Ready Market, Idle Brewery, the Allen, and El Tropicano hotel. Fabiola excels in creating compelling 3D visual graphics and detailing construction documents. Beyond her architectural design work, she collaborates closely with the interiors team, assisting in finish selections and developing test fits. Fabiola’s favorite part of the design process is figuring out how to fit all the pieces together, whether during programming or coordinating construction details

He believes that architecture plays a vital role in enhancing the built environment of communities, both now and in the future, and he is a strong advocate for incorporating cultural identity into design decisions.
Francisco’s passion for architecture lies in designing and creating spaces that become integral parts of people’s everyday lives. His coworkers often praise him for his skilled drafting, problem-solving abilities, and camaraderie. Francisco particularly enjoys working on non-profit initiatives, finding that these often involve clients who deeply care about the spaces being designed.

Her favorite aspects of the design process include spatial organization, materiality, and lighting. Jillian’s calm demeanor and thorough approach to her designs enable her to confidently navigate project challenges, making her a valuable asset to any team. She has experience in corporate interiors, science and technology, community spaces, furniture, and hospitality projects.
Jillian is also actively involved in IIDA’s local chapter, serving as the Austin City Center Past Director. In this role, she provides support and knowledge to other council members to ensure successful events and strong participation, adding value for IIDA members.

At Studio8, John is typically involved in production, design, and project pursuit conceptual designs. He enjoys creating practical spatial experiences that shape an occupant’s perspective. Known for his attention to detail in building and design graphics, John has worked on various commercial architecture projects, including offices, hospitality, retail, and lab/science facilities. He is also active in the ULI San Antonio chapter.

Julie Petri is an award-winning senior interior designer and the Director of Design and Strategy at Studio8, where she oversees quality assurance and quality control, from programming to construction documents for the Interiors projects. She is a mentor and a resource to the designers and values learning from her team.
After designing interiors for a diverse range of vertical markets including higher education, government, healthcare, non-profit, corporate, and hospitality in Texas and Washington State for the last 29 years, her in-depth knowledge of the design and construction process, as well as her understanding of programmatic and performance expectations, is invaluable.
She believes in a holistic approach to design wherein the site, architecture, and interior elements are integral to one another. Julie takes a comprehensive approach, combining technical expertise in constructability with an emphasis on clear, graphically precise construction documents that effectively communicate design intent to tradespeople. This methodology has helped her build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors.

Her undergraduate thesis, “Rainwater Catchment Systems: How Designers Can Utilize Architectural Strategies to Improve Water Access,” reflects her dedication to creating spaces that enrich daily life. Currently, she is working towards her LEED GA accreditation.
She enjoys prioritizing function over form, spatial planning, materiality and color, as well as rendering and diagramming. Madeleine excels at balancing interior and exterior design, understanding clients and end users, and focusing on those who will use the space. She excels at helping clients organize their needs and wants into spaces that reflect their culture. An admirable trait of Megan’s is her innate ability to remain positive and poised while navigating design challenges with her peers. Her primary focus has been on corporate office projects, but she enjoys working in new sectors to stay sharp and allow different design approaches to inform one another.

Oscar is a Project Manager with over 20 years of experience in diverse projects, including medium-scale renovations and large new buildings across commercial, retail, public, and faith-based sectors. Passionate about design, he believes great architecture is a blend of art and science, and his integrated approach has consistently delivered unique and effective design outcomes.
The son of an architect, his passion for architecture began as he watched his father draw late-night renderings and witnessed those designs come to life at construction sites. After earning a bachelor’s degree in architecture from UANL in Monterrey, Mexico, he started his career in the Facilities Department at his alma mater. Seeking broader experience, he moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, for a summer job, which led to 19 years in the US, including 13 years in San Antonio. He has led projects in Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Mexico, Georgia, and Oklahoma.

He enjoys working throughout all phases of project delivery; with particular interests in visualization, sustainability, and collaborative design.

As an experienced BIM Manager and designer, she is passionate about using advanced technology to streamline processes and develop innovative solutions. Tejal’s expertise in BIM includes updating and maintaining Revit templates, managing resource libraries, and developing informative newsletters to keep staff updated on Revit advancements. She excels in Dynamo scripting for task automation, as well as model coordination and review. Focusing on improving efficiency and functionality, Tejal has contributed to a wide range of projects, including labs, offices, and community buildings.
