St. David’s Foundation
St. David’s is a mid-rise office condominium in the heart of Austin’s central business district, offering 4 stories of prime office space with expansive balconies overlooking the Texas State Capitol and Texas Hill Country. As an Austin Green Building, it features sustainable design alongside a 4-level parking garage and 2,000 s.f. of ground-floor retail space on San Antonio Street.
The St. David’s Foundation building is located on a tight urban site surrounded by other developments and active pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Development was extremely tight both vertically and horizontally since the project was under regulations of the Capitol View Corridor.
On the south elevation, we performed building projections and used curtain wall systems to allow for clear and unobstructed views of the Texas State Capitol. To ensure the building is visually appealing, building materials that included glass, stone and panels were used through the office spaces, giving the building a unified and contemporary design.
